The racing:
-
This event will be held under the Racing Rules of Sailing 2025-2028…sort of…treachery and manipulation may be rewarded.
-
The start will be a Le Mans type start from the WETSPOT dock (far east dock at China Peal Landing)
-
Your boat needs to be in the water.
-
Sails can be on the boat but not hoisted.
-
Your crew and passengers must be on the Wetspot dock when your start is called (that is…your assigned start time).
-
-
The race course is simple with a twist;
-
Leave all the 4 islands/island groups to port.
-
Pick up a playing card when your start is called
-
Pick up a playing card at each of the boats posted near each of the islands. (Try not to hit the boats or each other while trying to get your cards.)
-
-
Finish line.
-
The finish will be between the white “No Wake” ball at the entrance to China Peak Landing and the North shore (there might be a finish boat).
-
-
Prizes.
-
There will be trophies for each of the first 5 boats finishing and one for the last to finish.
-
There will also be prizes for the 3 best poker hands
-
-
This is a full day event and you must be present at the dinner to win any prizes.
Please register boat and guest numbers so we can make plans for he dinner.
