The Fresno Yacht Club invites you to participate in the 2026 High Sierra Regatta at Huntington Lake, California.  This the 73rd anniversary of the regatta that started in 1953.

 

This year we are welcoming some new fleets. Formally, we are extending an invitation to these fleets on the following weekends: - but let us know if you think others would be interested:

 

Weekend 1 - July 11/12

● Moth, Snipe, Day Sailer A and B, Lido 14 A and B, Laser, Laser Radial, Banshee, RS

Aero, Optimist A and B, Vanguard 15, San Juan 21 Spinnaker Fleet and Working Sails

Fleet, International 14, Melges 14, Open Centerboard (Portsmouth Rating).

 

Weekend 2 - July 18/19

● Windsurfer LT, Thistle, Melges 15, Moore 24, Coronado 15, Ultimate 20, Wyle Wabbit,

Victory 21, Sport Boats (J70, VXOne, Viper 640, Open 5.70, Melges 20), Catalina 22,

PHRF

 

A minimum of 5 entries are required to race as a one-design class.  If you want to be considered as a fleet for this regatta, please reach out to us.

 

The regatta format will be similar to past years. For each weekend, there will be 5 races over two days (3 Saturday, 2 Sunday). We will have some drinks and appetizers during check-in Friday night at the registration tent. Saturday night we are will have a social gathering at the new Lakeshore Resort party dock lakeside.

 

These past few years lodging and camping spots have been a challenge at the lake. While the USFS is making efforts to re-open sites that have been closed, we do anticipate not all

campgrounds will be open.
